The anti-GenX music of the 80s, 90s and today . The Ocean Blue's career spans over three decades, marked by consistent musical output and enduring popularity in the indie pop scene. The band formed in Hershey, PA in the late 1980s as teenagers. They quickly gained attention after signing with Sire Records, a label known for launching influential acts like The Smiths and Echo & the Bunnymen. Their self-titled debut album in 1989 was critically received, with singles like "Between Something and Nothing" and "Drifting, Falling" reaching the Top Ten on Modern Rock Radio. The Ocean Blue's success continued through the 1990s with a string of well-received albums including their sophomore effort, Cerulean (‘91), Beneath the Rhythm & Sound (‘93) and See (‘96). After their major label run, the band transitioned to releasing music independently with consistent success including their recent critically acclaimed album, Kings and Queens/Knaves and Thieves (‘19).

Filmmaker, Zeke Anders began collaborating with The Ocean Blue in 2021, photographing their live performances while giving its fans a glimpse behind the scenes of band life. In ‘23 Zeke directed the official music video for Denmark to celebrate the band’s re-mastering of Davy Jones Locker, their seminal indie album.

The Ocean Blue has left a lasting impact on the indie pop genre, with a career spanning eight albums and several EPs. Their ability to evolve while maintaining their distinctive sound has earned them a dedicated fanbase and continued relevance in the music industry.
